How It Works
The Hypercom Optimum T4210 accepts virtually every payment option, including major credit (Visa®, Discover®, American Express®, MasterCard®/Diners Club®, and JCB®), debit and gift cards and electronic benefits transfer (EBT). In addition, the Optimum T4210 terminal supports TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance® (ECA®) service and the latest contactless payments options through peripheral equipment. Optional Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) service from First Data is also available, providing international customers the option to pay in their credit card currency.
The Optimum T4210 terminal combines dial-up connectivity with advanced features including 24MB of total memory and an ARM9 processor for faster transactions. In addition, an integrated Payment Card Industry (PCI) PIN Entry Device (PED) approved PIN pad makes it easy to accept debit cards and no external PIN pad is needed.
With more memory than competitive models, it is designed to be upgradeable as business needs evolve, providing investment protection when regulatory requirements or applications change. The Optimum T4210 also offers advanced security featrures, including account truncation on receipts.
